+black and white+

figured this was a good time for some photography. like in painting, my photowork is abstract, my main concern being that of the relationship between darks and lights and the spaces they occupy.

This week I took a brake from the usual strip and came up with this

sketchy single panel gag of Holy Cow.

Hide

Being a hybernating creature myself, I totally try to hide when the temp dips below 60. But since old man winter doesn't want to pay my bills I have to brave the weather and head out to work....but not before piling on some serious gear.

+tranquility+

admittedly, this is actually another very random piece i did recently last week that just happens to work for the theme word "tranquility". well, sort of. one could argue the octopus creature looks 'exceedingly happy' rather than 'tranquil', but there's many ways to interpret his joyous expression. and i think it's common to associate life under the sea with words like 'tranquil'. ( although when you take a look at life that resides closer to the bottom of the sea, words like 'horrifying' or 'sublime' may come to mind )

drawn completely in photoshop, and yes, the octopus is indeed wearing a bowtie.

i just happened to do this piece during the week and figured it'd work for the theme 'sticky'. the cuteness is devastating. after i did this i felt an urge to draw people stabbing each other to death, ( not shown. ) or worse. anyway this was a sketch drawn on the train, and then scanned/inked/colored in photoshop. i <3 photoshop :marries it:
